Our Beliefs

Our Mission and Vision

We glorify God by making disciples of Jesus through the gospel in life, community, and mission.

The Gospel

The gospel is the good news of the Triune God redeeming a sinful people to himself through the perfect life, substitutionary death, resurrection, and return of Jesus Christ for His glory leading to our ultimate joy now and forever.

Gospel Life

Gospel life is the transformed life by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. As we are empowered by the Holy Spirit, submit to the authority of Scripture in all matters pertaining to life and practice, and grow in our understanding of the objective truth and benefits of the gospel, we increasingly trust and treasure Jesus Christ. We then see the fruit of the gospel manifested in our lives in love, humility, joy, obedience, mercy, and contentment.

Gospel Community

Gospel community is our purposeful gathering as God’s redeemed people to worship Him, to apply this gospel corporately, and to experience this joy together found solely in Jesus. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has existed in community for all time and since the gospel begins and ends with the triune God, the gospel is inherently communal and intended to be lived out to its fullness in community.

Gospel Mission

Gospel mission is our obedient response to the commands of Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations and to be His witnesses to the end of the earth. Through discipleship, intentional living in mission, service, care, generosity, and compassion both locally and globally, we participate in bringing the gospel to the world unto God’s glory.

Discipleship

We believe making disciples of Jesus is one of the greatest expressions of living the Gospel life. Therefore, making disciples of Jesus is a key value of Wellspring. Please visit our section on Discipleship to learn more about how we practically apply Gospel Discipleship.

Our Statement of Faith

At Wellspring, we affirm the ecumenical creeds, and agree with much of the Reformation-era confessions, and subscribe to the Gospel Coalition’s confessional statement.
